Job Summary
Western University of Health Sciences is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary Director
of Financial Aid to lead and manage comprehensive financial aid operations of Western University
of Health Sciences. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for overseeing the strategic
development, implementation, and administration of financial aid programs and services at
Western University of Health Sciences, ensuring that all students have equitable access to
financial resources for their education. The Director will provide strategic direction, ensure
compliance with federal and state regulations, and promote a student-centered approach to

- Understanding of financial aid technologies and systems, and the ability to innovate and implement process improvements.
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in Higher Education Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field
preferred; Bachelors degree required.

- At least 5-7 years of experience in financial aid administration, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Expert knowledge of Title IV regulations and other federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies and processes.
- Proven success in leading teams, managing complex financial aid operations, and collaborating across departments.
- Experience in budget management and financial reporting related to financial aid.
- Familiarity with financial aid software and student information systems (e.g., Banner,
- PowerFAIDS, COD, NSLDS, Scholarnet). Banner is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree or other postgraduate credential in a related field is a preferred.
Preference will be given to those individuals who possess experience with
Health Professions student aid and to those individuals possessing experience
with Banner software.
