Pay Rate/Range: The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $104,900 to $128,400/yr ($52,450-$64,200/yr at 50% time) Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the University. The full salary range for this position is $104,900 to $198,900/yr. ($52,450-$99,450/yr at 50% time).

Work Location: 3201 Office

Working Days and Hours: M-F Between the hours of 8-5

Brief Summary of Job Duties:

The Financial Operations Organizational Analyst is a new role in BFS to support pre and post go-live implementation of OFC. This role will work with BFS unit leads to review organizational performance to identify strategies to align with the Financial Management Modernization (FMM) project goal to modernize financial systems and transform business practices at all levels of the campus by: -Enhancing capabilities for budgeting, accounting, and reporting -Reducing complexity and inefficiencies, and increasing accuracy through the elimination of "shadow" financial systems and processes -Improving processes for campus financial transactions -Providing a more consistent user experience for financial and procurement processes -Standardizing reporting through consistent accounting systems, structures and processes -Uniformed campus-wide training, allowing for greater cross-training and career development opportunities

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 4-6 years Experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business needs in a financial services environment
  • 4-6 years Experience as an accountant or closely related analytical role within the professional services industry
  • 4-6 years Advanced interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the organizational development and effectiveness field, theories, models to assess, design and implement customized, strategic organization interventions
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, project planning and implementation skills
  • Highly skilled in facilitation, consulting and relationship building
  • Applies strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Possesses strong consulting, relationship building, and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrates skill consulting to managers and groups at all levels
  • Ability to coach, facilitate and influence people at all levels
  • Demonstrates ability to learn quickly, reason, synthesize and generalize based on information obtained; sound judgment; ability to draw unbiased conclusions
  • Ability to focus on priorities, strategies, and vision
  • Knowledge of the consulting process to effectively lead engagements from inception to conclusion
  • Ability to persuade through both logic and appeal to positive motivations


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years Experience leading a variety of projects of large to moderate scope and complexity
  • 4-6 years Experience in a financial management role within a large complex organization
  • Advanced degree

Job Functions and Percentages of Time:
  • 100% Operational Alignment with OFC Initiative - Applies wide ranging experience and proficiency in accounting, finance, and organizational development concepts to perform highly complex analysis to understand past performance and determine present and future processes and resource needs to plan for the transition to Oracle Financial Cloud. Provides collaborative leadership and consultation, strategic planning, and project management to central campus financial organizational areas. -Reviews financial operations to understand business needs to determine if resource allocations meet those needs -Assesses complex financial service processes to identify efficiencies and improvements -Documents recommendations for senior leadership review and approval; develops project plans for implementation; leads implementation teams and and tracks milestones; monitors outcome and makes adjustments as needed.
